Week I March 2023 - SamJ Studios

As I’m sure you are all aware the last week has been absolutely wonderful due to my experience with everyone at NFTParis. It was such a great mix of familiar faces and new people that were so kind and enthusiastic .

I spent five days shuffling between many different events that were mostly fashion oriented, as this week is now Paris fashion week so they were a lot of legacy brands participating in NFT Paris satellite events. My favorite events of the week by far were the Future Fashion Summit, big thank you to Holly Wood, and the Draup Salon by Dani Loftus. Congrats to everyone who hosted an event and participated in a week because overall the vibe from everyone involved was so major!

I feel like I learned so much about the strategy of legacy brands and how they are observing the Web3 space and how they are trying to figure out the best way to optimize their migration into the space. I am super grateful to be a part of that dialogue, and hopefully participate in the industry further. On top of the Web2 connections that I met while visiting, I also met a lot of really great Web3 personalities that I had not previously been able to connect with due to the hectic fervor of previous NFT conferences in the last few years. I was able to connect with some lovely people such as Snowfro from art blocks, and it was truly a blessing to hear what he had to say about the space, and exchange dialog about our respective artworks and creative processes. It was really fun to be able to share my story and artwork to new people who were all very receptive and encouraging. Hearing such kind words from people I respect serves only to reignite my fire to keep working harder and digging deeper as an artist in Web3 during this questionable market.

This week my "checks derivative" is coming out at ETH Denver and I hope that those attending the conference have an opportunity to go check it out in person too. I’ve heard great things about ETH Denver for the past few years and I think that it will be just as strong as my experience at NFT Paris for those who attend the conference in Denver. It’s crazy to think that there’s so much going on in the space both IRL, and on social media even when we’re in such a tough market now begins my preparation for an empty NYC and I’m going to try to visit IRL again as well!

Super excited to follow up on al the new connections I made while in Paris, and further my work in the space. Looking forward to some collaborative efforts in the future! (also I've added some new tracks to my daily playlist which have been really energizing me lately)
